Winners of the Marion Merchants Halloween costume contest Monday evening were pre-kindergarten Mason Killough, Sponge Bob; first/second grade, Jaydee Schafers, hula girl; third/fourth grade, Justin Rahe, monster kid; and fifth and sixth grade, Madison and Olivia Dicks, flag. Before the contest, many young Marion ghosts and goblins participated in “Tricks or Treats Marion,” visiting participating Marion businesses.

“Beary Special Babies” born this month at St. Luke Hospital are Jonathan Robert Spachek, born Oct. 2, and Victoria Jade Rowden, born Oct. 26,

Gail Merrill, 95, well known Marion businessman, died Tuesday morning at St. Luke Living Center.

Twins Emily Nicole and Jeffery Lynn Garrison, children of Lynn and Tracy Garrison of Edmond, Okla., and grandchildren of Luke and Ed Siebert of Marion, are winners of this year’s annual Duckwall’s Cute Baby Contest.

The Youngtown church’s bell has been donated to the Burdick United Methodist Church and former members of the Youngtown church were invited to Burdick Sunday for the dedication of the bell at its new home and the dinner that followed.

Effective Friday, Marion Equipment, Inc. officially becomes known as Deer Trail Implement, Inc.
