Kansas Department of Transportation plans to change the U.S.-50/77 intersection at Florence from a two-way to a four-way stop. Work is scheduled to begin this week.

Eighty-two descendants of William and Maggie Westlake Summervill gathered at the family farm July 13 for a celebration of the family’s 100 years in Marion County. Descendants came from 11 states.

D. Eugene and Phyllis Enos will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 10 with a come and go reception at Eastmoor United Methodist Church.

Babies born this week at St. Luke Hospital include Campbell Wade, son of Todd and Shawna Winter of Marion, who weighed 5 pounds 14 ounces when he was born July 23.
