Construction of Marion’s assisted living facility has begun. The facility is located on Eisenhower Drive between the Marion Florence USD 408 bus barn and the city water tower. Bob Brooks of Brooks Development Company is developer for the project. Completion is anticipated in August.

Janice Case, president of St. Luke Hospital Auxiliary reports the organization received the “Silver Award” from Hospital Auxiliaries of Kansas for the local auxiliary’s “many accomplishments in 2003.”

The 13th annual foreign language children’s theatre was presented Wednesday by the Marion High School foreign language students. The four plays were presented in Spanish, German, and French. One of the Spanish-speaking plays was “Beauty and the Beast” whose characters were portrayed by Sarah Davidson, beauty, Tory Hett, father, and Andy Holt, beast (prince).
