The third annual KVC Motorcycle Ride for Kids will be Saturday in Marion’s Central Park. Prizes will include a cash donation of $500 from State Farm Insurance, gift package from Kansas Speedway, gift tickets from Worlds of Fun, a weekend getaway with Kansas City Royals, and much more.

Dale and Betty Ehlers of Marion celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary July 3 with their children, grandchildren, and other family members.
The fourth Bailey reunion was July 2 at Red Coach Inn, Newton. The nearly 100 family members attending included Jean Bailey, Bernadeen Winter, and Wendy, Symba, and Colleen Steele of Marion. The next reunion will be in 2010 in St. Louis.
The 9-and-under Cottonwood Valley League All-Stars won a tournament this past weekend and are headed to state. Team members are Dylan Seacat, Bret Voth, Jacob Baldwin, Brayden Putter, Tyler Busenitz, Zach Robson, Taylor Heidebrecht, Grif Case, Zac Lewman, James Jones, and Jared Hague. Coaches are Brad Seacat, Casey Case, and Dan Baldwin.
