Former Marion High School athlete Casey Nelson is asking USD 408 and two MHS coaches for $500,000 in damages. Nelson claims that the school district and coaches committed “wrongful acts” that led to Nelson sustaining serious injuries in an April 2006 accident.

After two victories in the Cal Ripken 12-and-under Midwest Plains regional baseball tournament, the CVL All-star team claimed fourth place in the region.

Family reunions reported in this issue include descendants of the Nees Louis and Cora Penland Olsen family, the David and Marta (Neyer) Schwartzman family, Gooding family, and the 90th annual reunion of the Hett family.
