In a somewhat anticipated move Feb. 25, Marion/Florence USD 408 board of education unanimously approved participating in a different league for Marion High School. The board voted 7-0 in favor of accepting bid to be a part of the Heart of America League.

Marion County Commission voted Friday to hire Sanborn of St. Louis, Missouri, to take aerial photographs in the county for use in a detailed, accurate county map.

Debbie Craig is shown visiting with resident Henry Sklenar as she completes her final week as director of resident services at St. Luke Living Center, a position she has held for the past 20+ years. Janet Herzet will take her place and also will continue as Marion County Home Care Director.

Sixteen Marion Elementary School students were honored for their commitment to being responsible, respectful, and doing their best during the month of February. The students are Skylar King, Jenna Helmer, Seth Lanning, Bryce Shults, Chloe Burkholder, Jacob Crabb, Gunner Brown, Alli Hett, Michaela Regnier, Paige May, Caleb Hett, Jessie Lewman, Elizabeth Meyer, Alexa Smith, Julia Hall, and Erika Hess.
