With its history as a Civilian Conservation Corps project, Marion County Park and Lake has been nominated for inclusion in the Eight Wonders of Kansas History. Marion County Economic Development Director Teresa Hoffman nominated the lake for an online poll to be conducted by the Kansas Sampler Foundation.

Marion High School scholars bowl team of Sam Ehrlich, Patrick Hodson, E.J. Obermeyer, Monica Spachek, Derek Stuchlik, and Eric Vogel will participate April 15 on KPTS in a match against Washburn Rural High School. MHS earned its spot by placing in the top 16 teams Dec. 5 in Topeka.
