Mr. A.E. Case is collecting the photographs of all former county officers for the purpose of framing and hanging in the Courthouse. The latest one received is a fine large picture of Judge Frank Doster. It is a splendid likeness. Other photographs received: Reuben Riggs, first County Attorney; A.A. Moore, first Representative and County Treasurer; W.R. Brown, first Judge of our District Court; Judge S.R. Peters, Judge J.T. Dickerson, County Attorney J.B. Searles, County Attorney C. Reed, Senator T.M. Potter. A number of others have promised photographs, including S.T. Howe and T.A. Bogle.

Why can’t Marion have a “White Way” Main Street? Have you been to Topeka or Osage City since they put in their “White Way”—their beautiful cluster electric lights?

Ladies of the Woman’s Equal Suffrage Association of the county accompanied Mrs. Ella Baldwin of Kansas City, Kansas, on an auto tour of the county last week. Mrs. Baldwin addressed interested audiences at Lincolnville, Tampa, Lost Springs and Peabody, The auto was decorated with Votes for Women flags.

Commissioner Lilley has gone to Coffeyville to watch the testing of the paving brick as they are gotten ready for shipment here. He expects to be gone all week.

George Powell has traded his restaurant to Dick Tillman for an automobile.
