About 50 people met at the Court Room last Saturday afternoon pursuant to the call issued by D.W. Wheeler for the purpose of organizing a new party, The Progressive Party, in this county.

There was a freight wreck on the Rock Island near Aulne Monday afternoon and 18 or 20 cars went into the ditch. A man who was riding in one of the cars had a leg badly crushed.
Mrs. F.R. Frobenius and son and daughter, Charlie Niederhauser and Miss Vella Niederhauser, went to Lincolnville yesterday to assist in celebrating the 50th wedding anniversary of the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Karl Junghanns.
