A public reception for Supt. and Mrs. C.E. St. John will be held Monday evening of next week. The affair is to be an informal one, as an expression of the good will of the people of the town toward these folks who have had such a helpful part in the life of the community. All the people of the town and surrounding country are invited to be present.

The post office force is enjoying the new awnings placed the last week over their plate glass windows.

Brief mention was made recently of the fine bunch of young people who graduated from the Common Schools of the county this year and the graduation exercise on June 9. The highest rank was given to Elisabeth Stewart, Marion. Second rank to Martha Taeves, Durham, and third to Grace Amick, Marion.
