The largest class in the history of Marion High School received diplomas yesterday evening Forty-two of them and the quality is right up along with the quantity. In the matter of scholarship for the four years, the honors of the class go to Irene Davis, Grace Williams, Mary Wight and Doris Miesse, in the order named. Including this class there are now 319 graduates of M.H.S. The first class was graduated in 1884.

A delegation of men of the community interviewed the County Commissioners the first of the week to urge a new bridge across the South Cottonwood northwest of town, near the Kelsey place. The old bridge is in very bad shape and is one of the main roads north.

Already the boys are catching crawfish and hunting up their fishing poles waiting for school to close.

Walter Seeley, living five miles east of town, came in to the hospital yesterday, having the misfortune to have three fingers on his left hand and two on his right hand injured in a dynamite explosion.

The day was ideal. The performance and performers were in harmony with the day and the annual May Fete was a beautiful success. The May Queen was little Margaret Richardson, who was elected to the place of honor by the school children.
