Marion is to celebrate the glorious Fourth this year. Plans for a big time have already been started.

Gus Scott and son, Charlie Scott, have bought the Stiller Dairy business. They are planning to install auto delivery service.

The P.O. Inspector was here yesterday looking over the situation with reference to the installation of Free City Delivery. He says that the Department plans to proceed in the matter without delay and that the service ought to be in operation by the first of July.

Leland Thompson has become proprietor of the stock of general merchandise which has been on sale in the room adjoining the post office and is this week moving the stock to the C.B. Wheeler building west of John Nelson’s. The room is one of the finest store rooms in town, and the opportunity for display of goods unsurpassed. Here’s success to him.

A fire in the old sugar mill the other day did quite a little damage. The upper part of the building is full of alfalfa hay but the fire was put out before it reached there.
