Every woman in Marion county is asked to register, on Registration Day, which is Wednesday of next week, Sept. 5. The women of America want to help in every way to win the war, and to win it as quickly as possible, to honor, so that the awful carnage may cease. But the national authorities have felt that organization for this help is needed. Hence Registration Day, as a starter.

Al Richardson, W.H. Carpenter, Ralph Powers, Herbert Thorp, and Rosse Case were in Manhattan Tuesday interviewing Mr. Walker, the drainage engineer at the College with reference to the flood problem here.

The uniforms for Co. M were shipped from St. Louis on Monday and may arrive to-day. The shoes and blankets were received several days ago. Company officers are expecting orders any day now to leave for Ft. Sill.

Mr. and Mrs. Rosse Case and daughters Corrine and Clarice, Sam Frazer, Mr. and Mrs. Josiah Good and daughters Helen and Florence, and Rev. and Mrs. Rutledge all motored to McPherson Wednesday and had a picnic supper with the soldier boys, Marion Stauffer, Howard Siebert, Paul and Gayle Rutledge, and Alex Case.

Coming to Marion Sept. 6 is the 77th annual tour of the original Yankee Robinson big three-ring wild animal circus, the biggest three ring wild animal circus in the world.
