Joseph Bauer’s new residence is nearing completion, D.L. Yeagley’s residence is about ready for the plasterers, and the foundation for Isaac Good’s home on Elm St. is being built.

Marion was visited by a jolly bunch of businessmen last Friday, the Kansas City Commercial Club. In the half hour allotted to them here, every business house was visited. All of us like to meet out-of-town men we deal with — the wholesaler, the man supplying the local dealer.

Cal Kuhn is busy this week putting in a concrete floor in the building occupied by Riggs Brothers Grocery.

The young folks of H.E. Woolheater’s family are having a hard tussle with measles this week.

O.C. Billings is completing extensive improvements on his residence on 2nd St.

The firm of Pollitt and Kleinhammer this week put in a heating plant and bathroom for Bert Campbell several miles south and east of Marion.

It is quite likely the city soon will begin prospecting for its water supply in the west part of the city, west of the Rock Island and north of the Santa Fe tracks.
