The Council had a very lengthy and interesting meeting on Monday evening. Considerable time was spent in discussing the franchise to the Marion Belt and Chingawasa Springs Railroad, the ordinance of which is published in this week’s Record. Read it carefully. The city clerk was ordered to draw up an ordinance providing for the curbing, guttering and macadamizing Main street. Several street crossings were ordered put in.
