Since our last issue the ground has been thoroughly soaked with rain and with quite a heavy snow which melted nearly as fast as it fell. Fine on wheat.

Eighteen accessions to the Baptist church are among the visible fruits of the recent revival in that church. Rev. Wareham, the faithful pastor, and his loyal helpers have cause for special rejoicing over the success of the series of meeting.

We understand that Mr. John F. Carter has sold out his lumber business, the Badger Lumber Company and the Chicago Lumber Company jointly purchasing the stock. The Carter yard will be abandoned, we learn, and the lumber removed to the other two yards.

The famous Fisk Tennesseans are to appear in Rogers’ Hall Friday evening, March 11. In addition to the Company’s old time programme of merely jubilee and old plantation melodies, they now boast of the finest combination of colored solo artists in America. All music loving people are assured a revelation.

The Young Ladies Home Mission Circle of the Methodist church postponed the social they were to give at the residence of Mrs. L.F. Keller last Wednesday evening and will hold it at that elegant home next Tuesday evening.

Antelope station is no slouch of a business point. Twenty-five carloads of freights shipped from there last month.
