The Record has frequently, during the past year or two, “written up” the wonderful Fodder Loader invented by Mr. D.H. Good, an ingenious farmer, living near Canada, in this county. Like most inventors, Mr. Good has been financially unable to push his invention as it deserved, but ample capital has now come to his assistance. The Fodder Co. of Canada, Kansas, will put it on the market in proper manner.

The heavy rain last Saturday interfered seriously with the opening of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Tidyman’s new “Cottage House” hotel. But those who were there report a splendid time.

Every day or so we see someone with a new Wood mower sold by H. Collett & Sons.

The Republican party is growing with gratifying rapidity. Elmer Fetrow and Greeley Kyle, each, have fine boys at their homes.

The boundary line between pupils of the valley and hill building has not changed from last year. All pupils living west of Third and north of Santa Fe are required to attend the Valley School. All east of Third and south of Santa Fe streets are required to attend the Hill school.

The writer was awakened Tuesday night by the sweet strains of the mandolins, guitars and cornets of the Young Men’s Orchestra, of Marion. It was delightful music.
