Tornadoes are getting too fashionable. Kansas, Illinois, Iowa and California have recently had demonstrations of the Storm King’s fury. So far as we are concerned, we are willing for these furious gales to suspend operations for the season.

Mr. David Lucas brought to this office, a stool of Red May wheat which measured three feet and three inches in length, and was partially headed out. Dave says it is a fair sample of the eighty acre upland field from which it was taken.
