One would think that this late in the Fall, immigration would begin to “let up,” but instead it seems to be increasing. The roads are lined with white covered wagons, a dozen of them together sometimes. Everybody seems to be coming to Kansas.

John Mehl’s shelves and counters are fairly groaning beneath the weight of the immense stock of goods now on hand. Probably the largest stock of boots and shoes in the county can be seen there.

If you want any masonry done we would refer you to our young friend, Johnny Groat. He has the stone work of the Catholic Church in Florence, an office room to build for Madame Gost, Florence, and a school house in Fairplay township to construct. Johnny is a first-class workman in stone, and persons contemplating building will find him reliable.

That collection of trunks, valises, &c. at Costello’s is immense. Jack is stocking up, and looks as though he meant to do an old time business. So mote it be.
