One by one, the old landmarks disappear. The old log house on the corner of Main and Third streets has been torn down to make room for the two-story stone building to be erected by Mr. Jex.
The old log house had an interesting history. In pioneer days it had served respectively for a hotel, printing office, and residence. The new building to be erected in its place will be a conspicuous contrast with the old. Thus, we progress.
The Record does not wish to be called on to record the death of any of the boys of this community, and therefore warns them against the dangerous practice many of them are getting into, of fooling around moving trains, jumping off of cars when in motion.
Judge Wilmot’s office is adorned with a new repository for the Probate papers. Kable & Summers did it and of course it is handsome.
Our dental friend, G. Fred Tucker of Hutchinson is accumulating a family a trifle faster than he cares to. Someone left an infant on his doorstep last week.
