Politics getting hot. Don’t forget to be gentlemen in the thickest of the fight.

The first frost of the season appeared last Sunday morning, and it was quite a heavy one.

Houses continue to sprout up like magic in the best town in the county. We can scarcely “keep run” of them all.

Mr. Sibley brought us, the other day, a monstrosity in the vegetable line. It was a mammoth radish, measuring 28 inches in length and 18 inches in circumference. It was grown in Mr. Burn’s garden, west of the depot.

The Indians about the agency near Fort Reno and also those at Wichita Agency are reported as being restless and ugly and threatening trouble on account of alleged insufficiency of food.

Those farmers who have promised, and others who desire to help a good cause, can do the Methodist great service by hauling sand, etc., at once.

Our enterprising furniture dealer, T. Buford, has just received a car load of fine furniture, which he says he proposes to sell cheaper than anybody in the county, or anywhere else. He means business. Remember the place, Rogers Block.
