Southern papers and people are going crazy again over Mardi Gras foolishness. They had better be spending their money and time devising some means of preventing a recurrence of yellow fever ravages.

Marion Centre and McPherson are soon to be united by telegraphic wires.

Never before in the history of Marion Centre has there been such activity in building operations at this time of year as at present. Verily, Marion Centre’s future is bright.

The Ladies Aid Society will give a mush and milk entertainment next Wednesday evening at Rogers Hall. It is intended to be a really good, jolly affair, where everyone may get great chunks of fun. A little nonsense now and then is relished by everybody. Let the hall be crowded.

Yeagley and Jones have opened a butcher shop in the room adjourning Widmeyer and Glovers paint shop.
