At a meeting Nov. 19, Marion Advancement Campaign asked donors and residents for input about possible renovation of Marion City Auditorium.

The third annual Marion Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade will be Dec. 7 in downtown Marion. This year’s theme will be “Santa’s Helpers.”

Marion Elementary School named its November students of the month Tuesday. Winning students are Tyler Arocha, Jade Corona, Braden Fahey, Janson Garman, Bethany Grimmett, Jayden Hallowell, Evann Heidebrecht, Emmy Hess, Marissa Jacobson, Luke Lanning, Regina Noonan, Nevin Shields, Jaden Slifer, Jacob Spachek, Bret Voth, and Tristan Williams.

The family of Ellen Darrow will be hosts for a come-and-go reception Dec. 14 at Aulne United Methodist Church in celebration of her 90th birthday

Fifteen members of Boy Scout Troop 102 are working on auto maintenance merit badges. Chris Stuchlik of Cardie Oil Co. of Tampa will counsel the boys in general auto care. Scouts involved are Justin Barr, Dylan Carpenter, Nathan Cyr, Christian Czarnowsky, Spencer Fugitt, Dylan Goebel, Louis Holt, Aaron Molleker, Adam Molleker, Kyle Palic, Seth Snelling, Charles Stuchlik, Tim Stuchlik, and Ben Wirtz.
