20 graduate from CHS

At commencement exercises Sunday at Centre High School, 20 seniors walked across the gym stage to receive their diplomas.

Class participation included an address by class president Cole Svoboda and a videotaped tribute to the senior class created by Tori Schill and Katie Remy.

The Centre band presented the fanfare, processional, and recessional, and the CHS choir sang “Remember Me.”

Graduates who maintained a 3.25 grade-point average for four years received scholarship trophies. They were Jacob Jirak, Brian Burhoop, Allison Shields, Svoboda, Tyler Klenda, Adam Matz, Amanda Floyd, Remy, Charles Stuchlik, and Ripley Howard.

Other members of the class were Tanner Brunner, Chi Do, Ashley Jensen, Rustyn Kerbs, Nicholas Kleiber, Casey Kristek, Schill, Emily Staatz, Diadra Turner, and Benjamin Wirtz.

At least 38 percent are planning to attend a 4-year college, 24 percent a 2-year college, and 24 percent a vocational technical school. Fourteen percent plan to enter the work force.
