At the 60th anniversary reunion of the Marion High School class of 1927, it was decided to form a “Last Member Club” that would meet the second Saturday of September for lunch. This club will continue as long as there are two class members who can get-together.

Robyn Brooks of Newton and Don Molleker of Marion announce their engagement. The wedding is being planned for Dec. 23 at Valley United Methodist Church.

Kenny and Cathy Holub, rural Tampa, have purchased Country Charm from Larry and Susan Larsen, who have moved their mail order business to Peabody.

Centre High School 1978 classmates gathered for their 10th anniversary reunion Sept. 3 at Marion Country Club. They had so much fun that they began immediately to plan a repeat reunion in 1993 for their 15 anniversary.

Milo and corn may repeat this summer’s bountiful wheat harvest, but winter wheat may be in danger if Marion County stays dry.
