Sen. Bob Dole, Sen. Nancy Kassebaum, and Rep. Bob Whittaker have introduced legislation in Congress to change the name of Marion Lake back to Marion Reservoir. This will eliminate the confusion caused by Marion County Lake and Marion Lake being so nearly the same names.

Susan Peters was speaker Sunday at Marion High School commencement. Announced as outstanding seniors were Robin Summervill and Edward Zeller. Micheal Greene, Jennifer McLain, Mike Meisinger, Sheri Plenert, Summervill, and Zeller were recognized for academic achievement.
