Elephants, beautiful girls, acrobats, aerialists, clowns, and many animals will be presented Sept. 10 by Allen Brothers Circus during two performances at Marion Airport. Sponsored by Marion Kiwanis Club, proceeds will benefit local youth programs.

Weddings announced this week include those of Kristi Kaye Herbel and Steven Todd Krispense, who were married July 27 in Durham; and Michele Lynn Bielefeld and Gregory Lynn Berens, married July 20 in Kansas City, Missouri.

There will be seven new instructors on the faculties at Marion and Centre school districts this year. They are Michele Regnier, Phoebe Janzen, Deanna Thierolf, Mark Janzen, and Kristina Bell at Marion and Sandra Stout and Pam Gilliland at Centre.

Write-ups of recently celebrated wedding anniversaries include those of Mr. and Mrs. Byron McCarty of Florence, 40 years; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kelsey of Marion, 70 years; and Mr. and Mrs. Don W. Thompson of Marion, 45 years.

Selected during a summer cheerleading camp, to be “Spirit of America” representatives at the 1992 college all-star Hula Bowl football classic Jan 11 are Jenny Groening, Marion; Lynn Balthrop, Peabody; Amy Beth Linnens, Florence; and Megan Ranney and Tonya Fast, Hillsboro. The girls were nominated by Dynamic Cheerleaders Association of Kansas City.
