Approximately 80 Marion Elementary School students are participating in a summer school program of classes to help students who might forget what they have learned by providing continuity over the summer. Missy Stubenhofer is director of the program.

Ray Crist, retired railroad worker, now living in Marion where he is taking time to enjoy is family and hobbies, is Amy Smith’s choice this week as the person who “made a difference” is the communities where has he lived.

Marion High School athlete Tony Gilbert has signed a letter of intent to compete for Allen County Community College. He will run cross-country, play baseball, and compete in the high jump, in which he took third at the state track meet in May.
