Unless there are unexpected last minute postponements, Marion Pizza Hut will open for business Monday. “Things are going smoothly, and really starting to fall into place,” manager Gina Shipman said. “The public’s excited, and we’re excited.”

Kristina Bell and Kevin Burkholder were guests of honor July 20 at a bridal shower held in the Fellowship Hall of the Marion Christian Church.

Work is nearly complete on an elevator to serve at Marion High School. The elevator is being constructed to bring the school into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, which mandates public places be accessible to physically handicapped persons.
