A stone arch bridge southwest of Marion may have received a reprieve from destruction, but Marion County commissioners are leaning toward its removal. Research indicates it was built by Fred Lewis, a skilled stonemason who constructed a number of historic structures in Marion County and the state.

Five bands will be featured at Lutapalooza ’95. Four from the area and a headline act, Bang Prophets from Kansas City, will perform Saturday on the Luta Creek Stage in Central Park, downtown Marion.

Certified massage therapist Carolan McFarland has opened an office at St. Luke Medical Clinic to complement other treatments offered at the facility.

Leadership Marion County members toured area industries May 2. They visited Hoppy Line, Marion Manufacturing, Martin-Marietta Aggregates, and Trace of Copper of Marion; Franklin Buggy Werkes of Florence; Ratzlaff Draperies of Goessel; Barkman Honey and Container Services of Hillsboro; Donahue Corporation of Durham, and Custom Trailer Design of Ramona.
