The Marion County Record installed some sophisticated electronic equipment this week. At the present, Record staffers are struggling in an attempt to learn how to operate the three new video display terminals (VDTs) with built-in floppy discs.
St. Luke Hospital rates will increase Jan. 1 due to the 35 cent per hour raise in the minimum wage. Tom Evert, hospital administrator, said the rates will go from the present $60 daily for semi-private rooms to $68 to $74 for private rooms.
The Chamber of Commerce now boasts its largest membership ever it was announced at a monthly meeting on Friday. The chamber now has 78 regular and 25 associate memberships, having acquired 20 of those in 1977.
