Tickets go on sale Saturday for the Marion Community Arts Council production Feb. 18. The tickets include a baron of beef dinner at the county lake hall catered by Kingfisher’s Inn. Entertainment will be two comedies presented by the Mud Creek Company.

The Emporia State University a cappella choir will appear in concert Sunday at Marion Municipal Auditorium. Three Marion students are choir members—Mrs. Norman Plenert, Steve Smith, and Van Kerns. Sponsored by the Marion Community Arts Council, the concert will be a benefit for the choir’s upcoming tour of Europe this summer.

Rev. Lester Buenning, pastor of Strassburg Baptist Church since July 1973, resigned Sunday morning effective the end of May 1978 when he will accept the call of Grace Baptist Church in Fargo, N.D.

Goodyear Tire Center manager Gene Winkler is featured in the week’s “Personality Profile” by staff writer Ruth Meyer.

Ten Marion High School students will display their artwork from Feb. 6 through 10 at the Marion Sears store. The students are Jeff Griffith, Becky Vinduska, Miriam Priest, William Kroupa, Doug McElhiney, Doug Heerey, Kelly Bartlett, Troy Bridges, John Slifer, and Teresa Kroupa.
