About 155 attended the Marion Community Arts Council’s dinner-theatre Saturday night at Marion County Lake Hall. The evening featured good food, good music, and fine entertainment.
A winter storm began to cause problems early Saturday, Feb. 11, when “black ice” covered area highways. Later in the day, snow began to fall and continued all Sunday. Most roads were closed Monday and Tuesday by drifting snow. All roads were open by Wednesday, and then the weekend brought more snow, winds, drifting and a repeat performance of the previous week.
Jack Adams, son of Mrs. John Adams of Marion and the late Mr. Adams, has been promoted to lieutenant by the Kansas Highway Patrol. Adams is an 18½-year veteran of KHP.
Marion High School drama students have won many awards recently.
