Ticket sales are in full swing for the PRIDE Pacemaker banquet March 10. Focus of the banquet will be presentation of the Pacemaker award by Gov. Robert Bennett and Tom Kline of the state PRIDE committee. Tickets are $5 each for the banquet, which will be catered by Ballinger’s of Augusta.

The directors of Marion National Bank have promoted Elora Robinson to the position of assistant vice president. She has been serving as assistant cashier.

Gerry Seibel, clerk of the district court, is featured in this week’s “Personality Profile.”

This year’s Cougar basketball queen is Sharon Costello. Scott Gutsch was named king. Sharon’s attendants were Theresa Alvarez, escorted by David Mueller; Gayla Gutsch, escorted by Jim Costello; Cathy Madden, escorted by Donald Mueller; and Kerry Triggs, escorted by Russell Kerbs.

Mr. and Mrs. George Baxter attended the OX-5 dinner and meeting Saturday evening at McConnell AFB in Wichita.

Coach Marion Ogden recently released the accumulative stats on the Warriors for the season. The four main team leaders are Doug Heerey, Jay Smith, Jerry Hett and Greg Boyle.
Heerey led the Warriors in average points per game and shared highest percentage of shots with Jerry Hett. Hett led the free-throw percentage with Boyle next. Boyle also had 44 steals, beating the second highest by 12 steals.
