Marion National Bank will host an open house from two to 5 p.m. Sunday. Matt Classen, president of the bank, and the board of directors invite the public to join them in celebrating the 75th anniversary of the bank’s charter and to view the new expansion features of the bank’s facilities.

Lloyd “Butch” Mueller is pictured as he prepares the way for an electrician at the Muellers’ new restaurant in Tampa. The restaurant is scheduled to open on Mother’s Day.

The Broadway musical, “Bye, Bye, Birdie,” will be presented by the Marion High School vocal music department, May 10 and 12 at Marion Municipal Auditorium. Lead parts will be played by Greg Boyle, Linda Schaffer, Lori Hett, John Dyck, and Janice Wiens.

Frances Klenda, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Klenda of Lincolnville, and Donald Mueller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Werner of Tampa, were married April 9 in St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church.

Boy Scouts from nearby communities gathered for a weekend campout at Marion Reservoir from Friday to Sunday. Scouts from Marion included Terry Looney, Jeff Conyers, Dan Annis, Danny Horsch, Chris Meierhoff, Mike and Tim Jordan, Jeff and Joey Keller, Julian Seaman and Mark Shoemaker.

Roger “Bud” Hannaford is pictured presenting a “first dollar of clear profit” certificate to Eleanor Zerger for her WheatStone Inn at Marion County Lake.
