Gerry Harris, Bob Edmunds, Marsha Ames, Pat Fox, Janie Meierhoff, Roger Hannaford III, and Forest Kelsey are pictured as they sing the final song in “A Different Approach to Tourism,” a skit that was part of a tourism workshop sponsored by the Tourism Committee of the Marion Chamber of Commerce as a PRIDE project.

Seneca Oil Company has announced the addition of Max C. Merrill as chief geologist. Merrill was formerly with Exxon Corporation where he held various geological positions over the past 28 years. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gail Merrill of Marion.

Christopher Costello of Marion has received a juris doctor degree at Washburn University School of Law, Topeka. A graduate of Marion High School and Wichita State University, he is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Costello of Marion.

John Van Schagen, exchange student from the Netherlands, is pictured as he pours Vitamin A into the feed mixer on the Steve Krispense farm near Marion. Van Schagen will stay with the Krispenses until October as part of a work-exchange program sponsored by the national chapter of Future Farmers of America.

Daniel Bowers and Matt Wineinger, officers in the local vocational agriculture chapter, have been selected by the U.S. Department of Education to attend the National FFA Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C.
