Shoppers and art lovers strolled through the maze of exhibits Saturday gazing at more than 60 displays at the fourth annual Art in the Park in Marion’s Central Park.

Mr. and Mrs. John K. Garrard and Robin planned a family picnic Friday in honor of Marilyn and Michele Waltner and RoseMarie Gray, Jason and Jeneanne, who are visiting their parents Mr. And Mrs. Henry Loveless. The event was held in Amelia Park, north of Antelope.

Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Kroupa of rural Marion announce the engagement of their daughter, Joni Clarice, to Stacy Lee Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Smith Jr. of Ozawkie. The wedding is planned for Nov. 6 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Pilsen

Four members of the Marion High School flag corps, senior Sandy Shipman, junior Patty Jeffrey, and freshmen Marni Bina and April Ogden, attended a clinic in fundamental routines and poise July 26-29 on the Wichita State University campus. Dena Connell, seventh grader, also attended the flag corps section. She was named most improved camp member in the intermediate class. Senior Cindy Heerey attended the drum major section of the camp.

A miscellaneous shower was held in the social rooms of the Marion Christian Church August 7 complimenting Lori Hett, who was married to Douglas Heerey on August 2.
