Pancakes at Kiwanis Pancake Day Saturday were too good to decline a second helping. Bob Brookens, efficient Kiwanian, who brought from the kitchen as many of the cakes as could be consumed, is pictured as he dishes up another helping for Mrs. Harold Ewert.

Seven Boy Scouts and their scoutmaster John Jordan enjoyed camping from Friday through Sunday on land north of Marion owned by Vern Magathan. The boys hiked to the Chingawasa Springs area and worked on merit badges and skill awards. Those camping were Danny Horsch, Myles Zeller, Mike Jordan, Jeff Conyers, Jeff Harris, Chris Meierhoff, and Monte Dalke.
