The official board of Hospital District No. 1, which owns St. Luke Hospital, discussed plans to add a physician’s clinic at the hospital at their regular monthly meeting Thursday night.

Donna Carroll, wife of Vagabond Vacation winner Gary Carroll, is pictured as she grins broadly when informed of the all-expense family vacation in store for them. They will take their free vacation in September — to the Colorado Rockies.

An article on the front page tells how Nancy Hart Hendricks has spent the past seven years operating a youth hostel for travelers in the 24-room stone structure that formerly housed the county’s “poor farm.”

Earl G. Bartel Homes Moving of Hillsboro moved a two-story frame home from the north side of US-56 several years ago to the south side and now is moving it back to the north side to make room for building the huge new Lynn’s Farm Equipment on that location.

John Dyck, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Dyck of rural Marion, and a 1980 graduate of Marion High School, has been accepted as a cadet student at the Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, Colorado. He will begin his studies June 23 as a member of the class of 1984.
