The bell at the turn-of-the-century Lost Springs School will be getting a new home. According to Superintendent Jerry Will, it will be hung in an arch to be built near the school with a sign proclaiming Centre Elementary School.

Julie Hett Nelson, a Marion native and professional entertainer, will sing during a free concert Saturday at the Art in the Park annual festival in Central Park. An estimated 70 artists and crafters are scheduled to display their works during the show and sale.

Two youngsters received novels as rewards for reading the most books during a summer reading program at Marion City Library. Eric Byer, 8, read 264 books, and Jennifer Blount, 12, read 63.
