CLUB REPORT
Happy Hustlers
Community leader Amy Summervill handed out 4-H Day ribbons to members when Happy Hustlers 4-H Club met at 7 p.m. March 7.
She encouraged families to start looking at and working on 4-H pin requirements for this year. Families also may want to start filling out record books before deadline at the end of the year.
Twenty-four members, six leaders, nine parents, and one guest answer role call with a goal they had set for one of their 4-H projects.
Sara Groening presided, Antonia Baxa led the flag salute, and Jaxon Salsbury led the 4-H pledge. As parliamentarian, he also reminded members to walk to get refreshments and let guests and people with birthdays go first.
Marion Middle and Elementary Schools sent thank-you notes for snack baskets the club delivered.
Rylee Thomas led members in singing “Happy Birthday” to those with March birthdays.
Clayton Thomas gave a demonstration on how to make a pipe-fitting lamp. Tripp Peterson gave a talk entitled “Picture Perfect” for his photography project. He also spoke about his bucket calf, Red, for his beef project and led the club in a game called “Jump.”
Refreshments were provided by the Thomas and Peterson families.
The club’s next meeting will be 7 p.m. Monday at Marion County Lake Hall.
