4-H winners advance to regional

Marion County 4-H’ers competed Feb. 12 in Abilene for the opportunity to represent the Marion and Dickinson County joint extension unit at a regional March 26 in Clay Center.

Isabel Rziha from Tampa Triple T’s won a top purple ribbon in senior demonstrations and illustrated talks. Samuel Rziha and Hanne McDermott from Tampa and Micah Carlson from Lincolnville Wide Awake each won purple ribbons.

Tampa’s Benjamin Rziha of Tampa won a top purple in the junior version of that category. The Happy Hustlers’ Rylee Thomas and Noah Schmidt, Tampa’s Katherine Rziha, and Amily Boden from Goessel Goal Getters each won a purple. Goessel’s Ruby Shaver and the Hustlers’ Ruby Schmidt won blue ribbons.

Alex Young from Peabody Achievers won a top purple for senior instrumental solo. The Hustlers’ Shelby Summervill won a top purple for junior individual dance. Lincolnville’s Aaron Carlson won top purple for solo acting. The Hustlers’ Rylee Thomas won a top purple in a category for other talent.

The Hustler’s Clayton Thomas and Peabody’s Winston Bourbon won alternate top purple ribbons for project talks.

Eli and Anthony Boden of Goessel each won a blue ribbon in public speaking.

The Hustlers’ Rylee Thomas won a blue for junior instrumental solo.

The Hustlers’ Trent Summervill  and Goessel’s Cole Shaver were among the participants in showing and sharing.
