The Baby Alumni Association of St. Luke Hospital held its annual party at the city building Oct. 19th. Door prizes were won by Rose Marie Bina and Thomas Jackson Hett. The youngest member present was Christopher Joseph Stroda, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Stroda, who was born Oct. 15. Kindergarten children provided entertainment.

Mary Teresa Konarik, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Konarik, was crowned 1963 MHS homecoming queen Friday. Her two attendants were Tina Holmes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Holmes, and Judy Broadstreet, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Broadstreet.

Several little boys gathered at the Jack Taylor home Friday afternoon to help Bruce celebrate his birthday. Guests included Rodney Cook, Brad Heerey, Greg Carlson, Jerry Conyers, Gregory Vogel, Danny Howell, Kyle Hartman and Bruce’s little brother, Bryan.

Mrs. Earl Olsen and Mr. and Mrs. Ted Lais and Rita recently attended annual Parents’ Day at Kansas State Teachers College, Emporia. Helen Olsen and Ruth Lais are freshmen at the college.

Three employees of St. Luke Hospital were honored Oct. 22 for completing 10 years of service at the hospital. They are Tony Schafers, maintenance engineer, Mary Schafers, laundry, and W.J. Schafers, grounds keeper. Each was presented with a 10-year service pin at a dinner in the hospital cafeteria.
