For the past year or more, a group of eight Marion women have been quietly going about the monumental task of completely renovating, renewing, and modernizing books, shelves, in fact the entire atmosphere of the Marion Public Library—an outstanding example of valuable public service. These eight women are Marie Morse, Audrey Carpenter, Dorothy Magee, Phyllis Melton, Mary Longhofer, Billie Slusser, Dora Phillips, and Ruth Caselman.
