Another important Marion real estate transaction was completed this week. Ed Navrat has purchased the Main Street property directly across the street south from the Navrat Service Station. The corner of Roosevelt and Main streets was bought from the Hobein estate.

Friday night’s basketball game was the annual homecoming and a queen and her attendants were crowned. Judy Broadstreet was named queen. Her two attendants were Connie Warneke and Tina Holmes.

Thomas Spachek, president of the Pilsen State Bank at Lincolnville, died Feb. 9 at St. Luke Hospital.

Neo-Century Club members met in the Marion High School music room Feb. 3 and were entertained with a musical program under the direction of Nadean Kruse. Musical selections were given by Marian Lawrence, Neva Kelsey, Becky Berry, Sherry Knoblock, Diane Nickel, Judy Broadstreet, Connie Jost, Alice Kraus, and Dennis Hett.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Utech of Ramona announce the engagement of their daughter, Jeanetta Lee, to Junior Hanschu, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Hanschu, also of Ramona. An August wedding is planned.

Larry Dean Loomis of Marion has accepted a position with the Trane Company of LaCrosse, Wisconsin.
