Marion Community Guild president Naomi Childs and the group’s treasurer, Eloise Mueller, are pictured presenting a check for $400 to St. Luke Hospital to be used toward the purchase of a new gas machine—another fine addition to the equipment of the hospital used to administer anesthesia.

Boy Scouts of Marion’s Troop 102 have returned from Quivira Council’s Camp Ta-Wa-Ko-Ni near Augusta. Scouts attending were Daniel Steinel, Bryan Alexander, Kerry Domke, Norman Alexander, Maurice Allen, Steve Fillipp, Mike Steinel, Craig Smith, Dick Carr, Lance Alexander, Richard Wiebe, Eddie Cook, Raymon Mayginnes, Chuck McElwain, Ronnie Linn, Ronnie Cooper, and Terry Plenert. They were accompanied by leader Virgil Wiebe and Scoutmaster Bill Caselman.

Mrs. Rex Clothier helped Brad celebrated his third birthday Monday by inviting a number of friends to a party. Guests included Doug and Debra Vogel, Neva Oller, Greta and Gena Helmer, Darrin Helmer, Cheryl Lawrence, and Brad’s sisters, Belinda and Beth.

Among the births listed this week in the “Look Who’s Here” column were: Bryan Lynn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald G. Hess of Marion, born July 17; Ann Marie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Waner of Marion, July 20; and Jami Lyn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas W. Shirley of Marion, July 21.
