This week and next are the prime weeks in central Kansas to see and enjoy Nature’s beautiful fall coloring. This year promises to be one of exceptional beauty. The several sharp frosts we have had, in the midst of cool weather, have turned the hills and valleys into a symphony of fall colors.
Members of the Marion Jaycees are currently busy in the evenings painting house numbers on curbs in front of homes in Marion.
An investiture ceremony for Brownie Scout Troop 64 was held Wednesday afternoon at the Legion hall. Brownies receiving pins were Mariann Elling, Norma Heidel, Angela Krause, Denise Magathan, Neva Oller and Debra Ratzloff. Troop leaders are Mrs. Francis May and Mrs. Robert Meier.
