Fifty seniors will graduate Tuesday evening at exercises in the gymnasium building. Speaker at commencement will be Lieutenant Governor of Kansas, John Crutcher. Speaker at the baccalaureate services Sunday night will be Rev. William Staub.

Walter Fruechting, Irene Morse, and Fern Frans received awards Wednesday at a meeting of the Greeley Gas Company of Herington. Fruechting received a 23-year pin for safe driving. The two women received service awards. Miss Morse has been with the company 21 years and Mrs. Frans for four years.

A committee has been named to work on the project of restoring and displaying class pictures at Marion High School. Norma Hannaford is chairman. Other committee members are Bill DuVall and Margaret Wolf.

Births announced in the “Look Who’s Here” column include Brenda Lee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Berg of Marion, born May 17; Patricia May, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary G. Carroll of Florence, also born May 17; and James Frank, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Jennings of Florence, born May 18.

Lt. Milford Hett will be back in Marion around May 25 after nine months duty as a pilot of a Phantom jet, doing photo reconnaissance in Vietnam. He is returning by way of Alaska to visit his brother, Keith Hett.
