Four happy youngsters were the lucky winners Thursday night in Marion’s weekly drawing for kids. Bryan Taylor won a pair of roller skates; Diedre Reusser, doll set; Terry Svoboda, dart game; and Dot Lentz, transistor radio.

Lynn’s Truck and Tractor, Marion International Harvester dealer and appliance store, is adding an attractive new 30’x30’ showroom addition to the west of their present building on Water Street.

Dear Santa: I wanted to let you know that Brenda, Valerie and I will be in Missouri at Mary Beth’s house for Christmas. I have been good and would like a race track and light-bright game for Christmas. Valerie wants a rocking chair. We will have some cookies and milk for you. Nathan and Valerie Smith.

Tom and Russell Hett this week announced they will close their John Deere dealership at Hillsboro and combine the two businesses under their dealership in Marion.

Marion’s “Gas House Gang” planned a successful surprise birthday party on Albert Stenzel Wednesday, The event was held at their regular ;meeting place, Al’s Standard Station, with 19 members in attendance.

The Marion Mashers continue their winning ways. They hosted Walton Thursday and captured a 77-64 win. The Mashers went to Woodbine on Saturday for an especially aggressive game.
The final score of that game was 102-88.
