Superintendent of schools Robert Musgrave submitted his letter of resignation to the board of education Saturday evening at a special meeting of the board of education.

The West Side Camp is now open for business, according to Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Newton who are operating the combination grocery store and motel.

“Smoky,” the prize Shetland pony won at Christmas time by Shirley Hamm, 9-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Hamm, is pictured being ridden by Shirley’s 5-year-old brother Dennis at the farm of the children’s grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hamm, where Smoky is being kept.

Engagements announced in this issue were those of Jan Kay Rathert and Donald L. Smith, who will be married in April, and Karen Dvorak and Donald Druse, who are planning a spring wedding.
